Luce Unplugged Community Showcase: Poppy Patica and Keeper

Explore some of the three thousand artworks in the Luce Center while listening to up-and-coming local bands selected with the help of the Washington City Paper's arts editor, Matt Cohen. Poppy Patica, a psychedelic pop band, drives melodies full of dream-pop rhythm, emotionally deep lyrics and big drum sounds, with music contributions from members of other DC bands such as Flasher, Big Hush, and Swings. Keeper, a self described “sad girl bedroom pop band,” features Marissa Lorusso, a vocalist and songwriter whose lyrics speak about emotions and the human experience. Libations and snacks available for purchase; credit cards now accepted. Presented with the Washington City Paper.
